Abstract

From the red alga Polysiphonia lanosa (L.) Tandy two new bromophenols, methylrhodomelol and rhodomelol were isolaed, and after acetylation and methylation their structure elucidated with the aid of spectroscopic methods and an X-ray crystallographic study.
